Our institute proudly offers the Annual Update Courses required by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission (NCREC), ensuring brokers stay compliant and informed on the latest industry practices and regulations.
In addition to the Update Courses, we also offer a unique Elective Course focused on understanding spousal consent and marital interest in North Carolina real estate transactions. This course provides critical legal insight to help brokers navigate complex situations involving married property owners and protect their clients from costly missteps.
All courses are led by Linda Strickland, MBA, a seasoned real estate expert with multiple designations (GRI, ABR, C2EX, AHWD) and extensive experience as a broker, educator, and industry leader. Our instruction emphasizes practical insights, legal accuracy, and real-world application, making every course valuable whether you're a newly licensed broker or a veteran professional.

YOUR Instructor: Linda Strickland
With over six years of experience as an accomplished real estate Broker and Broker-in-Charge, I bring a diverse professional background and a strong commitment to excellence in serving my clients. I hold both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), complementing my extensive experience in sales, logistics, office management, and my previous role as a closing paralegal for a real estate attorney. I have also earned several distinguished industry designations and certifications, including Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Commitment to Excellence (C2EX), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), and At Home With Diversity (AHWD).
Beyond my professional and educational accomplishments, I have had the privilege of serving as Chair of the Diversity Committee for the Gaston Association of REALTORS®, reflecting my commitment to leadership, professionalism, and inclusion within the real estate industry. I am especially proud to have been recognized as the 2026 Best of Gaston – Best Real Estate Agent, as well as Gaston County Agent of the Year 2024 and Bessemer City Agent of the Year 2024 through a separate recognition program. These honors reflect my dedication to providing exceptional service, building lasting relationships, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in every transaction.
